Kataragama Temple
Kataragama Temple is an important shrine for both Hindus and Buddhists. The temple is dedicated to deity with six faces and twelve hands, who is known as Skanda-Murukan or Subrahmanya among Hindus.
Sinhalese Buddhists believe that Kataragama Deviyo is a guardian deity of Buddhist who helps his followers who are in need.
